Our office charges a $100 fee for this test, separate from your regular appointment costs. GeneSight testing will be billed to your insurance, but it may not be covered. What is GeneSight testing?
If medication has been ineffective for you, your genetic makeup could be the reason. The GeneSight test provides our clinicians with data-driven insights into how your body metabolizes and responds to medications for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and other conditions. Ordered by your provider and performed via a simple cheek swab at home or in our office, this test helps personalize your treatment plan and eliminate the frustration of trial and error.
What information is not included in the test?
GeneSight test results do not provide information on disease diagnosis, medication allergies, drug-drug interactions, or which medications will work best. The GeneSight test uses your genetic information to provide medication options for your clinician.
Does taking medication at the time of testing effect the GeneSight test results?
No. Taking medications at the time of GeneSight testing will not affect GeneSight test results.
